About Advent Brass

Notes from the Director
Advent Brass began as a brass quintet in 2004 at the Markham Woods Seventh Day Adventist church in Longwood, FL. In the years since then several players have come and gone and currently the configuration is three cornets, four trombones, one euphonium, and one tuba. Our music varies from largo to presto (slow to fast), pianissimo to fortissimo (soft to loud), and classical to contemporary (fun for all ages). Our members come from a wide variety of backgrounds professionally and musically. We are an all-volunteer group and we give our time and whatever talents God has given us because we enjoy music, the camaraderie of like-minded friends, and giving praise to God. Given all these variables, our mission has remained constant and that is to provide music for the glory of God and for the inspiration of those who listen. Advent Brass performs in church worship services and concerts throughout central Florida.
